Saudi Oil Facilities Targeted Amid Escalating Regional Conflict
Drone strikes were carried out on Saudi Arabia, Jordan, and Iraq within days of US President Donald Trump stopping a 14-day strike mission on Iran. Drone strikes were carried out on Saudi Arabian oil facilities as well as transit points by Iran-supported militia and Houthi rebels. While the US government said that it halted the bombing in order to foster negotiations, Iran denied any request for peace talks and continued with the assertion that it controlled the Strait of Hormuz. President Trump also said that he would carry out more military operations in case the negotiation fails.
